Course description

Enjoy a hobby and share good times with like minded people interested in Patchwork and Quilting. Work on projects, with expertise on hand to help you improve.

What you need to join the class

a) guidance needed: None required. b) entry requirements: Basic needlework skills. All hand sewing by running stitch and back stitch.

If you wish to spend time at home working through projects this will be arranged with the tutor.

What you need to bring to the first class

1. Sewing Kit to include: 2. Needles. 3. Pins. 4. Tape measure. 5. Thimble. 6. Fabric and paper scissors. 7. White thread for tacking. 8. Notebook. 9. Pencil. 10. Ruler. Tutor will give specific advice on chosen project

Books, materials and equipment you need for the course (including additional costs, specialist stockists, etc.) Note: your tutor may recommend additional items during the course.

The tutor will give information on materials, books and stockists. Also quilting exhibitions.

What you can do next

Additional information - General

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor may ask you to complete a Student Learning Record (SLR) and agree your personal learning goals. This paperwork is a requirement of the College s Quality Improvement Programme.
